UL, iNEMI Hold Webinar on LTTA Testing for PCBs, PCBAs
UL, iNEMI Hold Webinar on LTTA Testing for PCBs, PCBAs
The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) and Underwriters Laboratory (UL) will hold a webinar that will discuss the improvements in UL’s Specialized Long Term Thermal Aging (LTTA) testing to help reduce the time needed for evaluations.
UL Safety Standard 746B has historically been used to evaluate heat resistance of laminates at elevated temperatures. This standard is a trusted source for establishing high-temperature ratings. Since an evaluation can take months to determine a rating, choosing a laminate already rated for high temperatures can have a significant positive impact on product development timelines.
The webinar will be hosted by UL’s Crystal Vanderpan, principal engineer for PV Materials and Printed Circuit Technologies, who will provide an update on the work being done to improve LTTA testing. The webinar will be held on April 2, 2014, from 1:00 to 2:00pm EDT (7:00-8:00pm CEST).
