 TPCA Show 2014 to take place from October 22-24

The TPCA Show 2014 will take place at the Taiwan World Trade Center, Nangang Exhibition Hall from October 22-24. A total of 362 exhibitors will display their latest products across 1,334 booths. A special pavilion, TaiONE PCB, will have exhibits to highlight the manufacturing capability and the competitive advantages of Taiwan's PCB industry. Tien Wu, COO of Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE), will deliver a keynote on the latest technology development of Taiwan's IC backend service industry in a technology forum held during the exhibition. Meanwhile, the Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) will officially present a white-paper on the development of Taiwan's PCB industry. The white-paper calls for more government and industry efforts to boost the production value of Taiwan's PCB industry. According to the Industrial Economics and Knowledge (IEK), the production value of Taiwan's PCB industry will reach NT$550 billion (US$18.11 billion) in 2014. The value will increase to NT$800 billion if PCB manufacturing equipment and materials are included. The production value of PCBs, PCB equipment and materials combined will reach NT$988.3 billion by 2020, representing a CAGR of 2-3% during the period. However, the white-paper calls for more government and academic efforts to double the CAGR to 6-7% that will ramp the production value of the PCB industry to NT$1.15 trillion by 2020.
