                                                                                   Suppliers Spotlight: PCBCart

PCBCart was established in 2005. Since those tough early days right after the global downturn, we’ve been providing service to engineers, purchasers and electronic hobbyists worldwide, in all segments of the electronics industry.

In the beginning, we primarily manufactured only prototype and standard PCBs. But in order to cater to the needs of a fast-developing electronics industry, we enhanced our manufacturing capabilities, gradually extending our PCB services to include advanced PCBs such as aluminum, HDI, flex/flex-rigid, thick copper, etc. Later, we added turnkey PCB assembly and parts sourcing services to enable customers to complete their design under one roof.

From our inception, we have focused on one principle: providing the highest quality product available. We strive to implement this principle in each link of our manufacturing chain. Early on, we earned our ISO 9001:2008 and UL certifications, as well as RoHS compliance. To keep current on these certifications, we must obey strict manufacturing requirements and environmental regulations.

Understanding Fab, Assembly, and Design

PCBCart1.jpgIn recent years, we have noticed an attitude transformation among our customers regarding PCB design. When I joined PCBCart as an engineer after graduating from university in 2009, many customers expected a complete PCB design from our team. But today, engineers are more likely to seek help in optimizing their design or dealing with problems related to EMC, crosstalk, power integrity, vias, or even surface finish selection. Our DFM team checks customers’ design files, a service that we provide free of charge. Instead of providing customers with a completed PCB design file, we guarantee the customers’ PCBs to be precisely fabricated and assembled, with high performance and long durability.

With our business expanding, more and more clients require both PCB fabrication and assembly services. We’re fully aware of their concern; a disjointed relationship between PCB manufacture and assembly will inevitably cause the loss of money and time. So, we launched our own SMT assembly line and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in 2010.

The SMT line has been beneficial to yield improvement and efficiency increase, and it ensures greater quality and reliability. The ERP system, on the other hand, integrates all aspects of sales, engineering, manufacturing and the warehouse. It allows us to react to customers’ orders as quickly as possible. As a result, our clients can have better control of their budget and time schedule.

Automated Manufacturing

PCBCart2.jpgOur world is in a rapid development stage, and new products must be brought to market in ever-shorter timeframes. Companies, especially manufacturers, must be more efficient. Automated manufacturing is an irreversible trend; it’s already playing a significant role in volume production and contributing to product quality. For PCBCart, the launch of our SMT assembly line is our first step into automated manufacturing. We have already gained profit from the benefits: increased production volume and customer satisfaction.

The inevitable next step in automation is intelligent manufacturing, and we are ready and moving forward. It’s a virtuous circle: Our products and services lead us to new technology developments. These developments will in turn optimize our manufacturing line so that we can produce more qualified products. The development of new electronic technologies creates a demand for more innovative electronic products.

We’re eager to lead the way, with our high-frequency, high-speed boards, miniature and HDI technologies, high-power PCBs, thermal management, green manufacturing processes, and 3D technology, just to name a few. In addition, we’ll constantly keep abreast of emerging PCB technologies, mastering complex processes and enhancing our customer services. PCBCart wants to be the most reliable turnkey PCB manufacturer in China, and beyond.
