 MacDermid Adds New Business Director in Asia

MacDermid has announced the recent hiring of Yong Kiat Tan as business director of its Advanced Surface Finishing (ASF) business in Southeast Asia. Tan brings to MacDermid 24 years of experience serving specialty chemical customers in the printed circuit, semiconductor, plating on plastics, and metal finishing industries. He is closely connected with electronics manufacturers, EMS providers, and OEMs in the SEA region. He has proven success in achieving ambitious business goals through strategy, efficiency, and quality. Tan holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration from RMIT and diplomas in Management from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and in Plastic Technology from Singapore Polytechnic, plus Six Sigma Quality Certification. As business director, Tan will manage MacDermid’s Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia ASF teams and broaden MacDermid’s penetration and product portfolio in the very important Southeast Asia market. -
